Desert Chronicles

Once upon a time, in a world full of teenage crushes, relationship drama, and romantic confessions under staircases… stood Adwaiy. Alone. Not because he’s mysterious or heartbreakingly romantic — but because his love life is drier than a drought. While others get “I like you” texts, Adwaiy gets “Homework due tomorrow” reminders. Cupid’s arrows don’t just miss him ..... they change direction mid-air and go find someone else. If love ever knocked on his door, he would probably say Wrong house. Rumour has it that if you listen closely during lunch breaks, you can hear the soft sound of nothing happening in Adwaiy’s love life. It’s so quiet, even crickets have stopped showing up. His friends fall in and out of crushes. Confessions happen, breakups happen, stories unfold. Meanwhile, Adwaiy is in his own land sketching anime characters. Love? That’s a subplot he skipped. If he were in an anime, he would be the character that wasn't coloured properly. It’s not like he hasn’t had any m...

Boards, Chaos and Someone who made it memorable

December 11, 2025 Board exam season can break souls. But in the middle of this panic-induced madness stood one boy who felt nothing: Adwaiy. The human embodiment of “bro chill.” But my board exam journey with him? A full movie. BOARD EXAM DAY 1: SLEEPY ADWAIY + BIRTHDAY WISHES The first day of boards was supposed to be terrifying, but apparently the universe wanted comedy instead. I was stressing, pacing, mentally preparing… And then my mom — MY MOM — decided to call Adwaiy early in the morning to check on me and tell us there is a change in the exam hall. And guess what? This man answered the phone half-asleep , his voice sounding like he had just lost the battle with his blanket. My mom: “Hello beta, did you reach? Is Aaron okay?” Sleepy Adwaiy, barely conscious: “…yaaa… he fine… I think… ok bye.” Hangs up. Not even fully awake, yet still dragged into parental interrogation. THIS is peak sitcom energy. And then a few hours later, fully awake and functionin...

Adwaiy vs. The Blog: The Arc of Surrender

It all started like every great saga does with denial. The first time I mentioned writing a blog about him, Adwaiy looked at me like I’d just told him Deku's gonna die in the final episode (IF IT HAPPENS IM NOT SURPRISED) . He hated the idea of the blog. Every time I brought it up, his face would go through all five stages of grief in under three seconds. “BRO. STOP WRITING ABOUT ME ” “I swear if you post this—” “Why am I always the topic?” His dramatic reactions were pure gold. Each new blog announcement was like a jump scare. He’d panic, protest, threaten (fake), and complain like it was a full-time job. The more he argued, the funnier it got. It was like watching a villain monologue while the hero casually eats popcorn. The blog became this unstoppable force. Titles dropped like plot twists. Posts kept coming. Adwaiy was in his anti-blog era , passionately defending his reputation while simultaneously giving me endless new material. A tragic cycle. But slowly… something ch...

Adwaiy and the Horror of Hindi Class

Date: September 23 2025 If English poems are Adwaiy’s villain origin story, then Hindi (thanks to CBSE) is the final boss level. Thanks to CBSE, the language turned into pure suffering. The chapters drag on like endless soap operas, the grammar rules feel like traps, and the essays? Straight-up punishment. Every time he had to write “Paryavaran ki Mahatva,” it was like watching his life bar go down in slow motion. And don’t even get him started on the questions: “Kavi ke man mein kis bhavna ka prakatikaran hua hai?” “Gaay ka aantarik sandesh kya hai?” According to Adwaiy, the only correct answer is: “There is no deeper meaning. It’s just… a cow.” CBSE basically ruined Hindi for him. The word “Hindi” doesn’t make him think of movies, songs, or casual conversation; it triggers memories of exams, worksheets, and teachers asking for antarbhav when all he wanted was peace. That’s why he even rejects Hindi outside the classroom. I watch anime in Hindi sometimes (and it’s a...

Adwaiy and the Curse of English Poetry

Everyone has that one subject they just can’t stand. For Adwaiy, it’s English. Not because he can’t do it — he can — but because poems exist . According to him, poems are the most unnecessary puzzle humanity ever created. Why say “the crimson horizon wept” when you could just say “sunset” ? Why make students decode hidden meanings when the poet probably just liked the color red? For Adwaiy, every poem in an English textbook feels like a personal attack. He’ll stare at a verse, flip the page, and mutter something like, “Nope. Not today.” And the funniest part? The teacher will ask, “What do you think the poet meant?” and Adwaiy’s answer is always the same: “Probably nothing. He just wrote it.” Here’s the thing: it’s not that he hates reading. Give him a manga or an anime story, and he’ll happily go through it for hours. But English poems? That’s where he draws the line. If it doesn’t have a fight scene, a character arc, or at least some cool art — he’s out. I’ve seen him d...

Homework ? Yeah, No thanks.

Date: August 14, 2025 If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Adwaiy, it’s this: He will draw an entire anime scene with perfect shading and detail… but ask him to finish homework, and suddenly he’s a ghost. It’s not that he can’t do it — he just won’t . His creative energy has better places to be: in sketchbooks, in watching anime marathons, or in making perfectly timed sarcastic comments. I’ve seen him stare at homework like it’s some cursed ancient scroll that will steal his soul if he touches it. Meanwhile, give him a pencil and blank page, and he’ll spend hours making something that looks like it belongs in a manga. He treats homework like a background character in an anime — always there, but never important to the plot. And honestly? That’s kind of iconic. I guess that’s just peak Adwaiy — prioritizing the things he loves, dodging the ones he doesn’t, and somehow still making life entertaining in the process. So, if you ever see him with a stack of homework in fr...

Quiet, Unpredictable, and Definitely Adwaiy

Date: August 13, 2025 Not all friendships look the same. Some are filled with constant updates, endless calls, and loud celebrations. Mine with Adwaiy… isn’t. He’s the kind of friend who keeps to himself. He won’t flood your phone with messages, he might not reply right away, and yeah — sometimes he ignores me completely. But that’s just him. He’s not distant because he doesn’t care — he’s just the quiet type, living in his own calm world. Most of the time, that world involves anime and sketches. I’ve seen him get lost in his art for hours, completely tuned out from everything else. It’s not about showing it off or impressing anyone — it’s just something he loves. And when he’s in that zone, you know not to disturb him. What I like about Adwaiy is that he’s unapologetically himself. He doesn’t try to be someone else to please people. He won’t fake compliments or say things he doesn’t mean — if he says something, it’s real. And even if he doesn’t say much, you can tell he v...
