Quiet, Unpredictable, and Definitely Adwaiy

Not all friendships look the same.
Some are filled with constant updates, endless calls, and loud celebrations.
Mine with Adwaiy… isn’t.
He’s the kind of friend who keeps to himself. He won’t flood your phone with messages, he might not reply right away, and yeah — sometimes he ignores me completely. But that’s just him. He’s not distant because he doesn’t care — he’s just the quiet type, living in his own calm world.
Most of the time, that world involves anime and sketches. I’ve seen him get lost in his art for hours, completely tuned out from everything else. It’s not about showing it off or impressing anyone — it’s just something he loves. And when he’s in that zone, you know not to disturb him.
What I like about Adwaiy is that he’s unapologetically himself. He doesn’t try to be someone else to please people. He won’t fake compliments or say things he doesn’t mean — if he says something, it’s real. And even if he doesn’t say much, you can tell he values the few people he lets into his space.
There’s also a side to him that’s genuinely good-hearted. I’ve seen it in small, quiet ways — the way he’ll help without making a big deal about it, the way he treats people with respect even if he’s barely speaking, the patience he has when working on his art. It’s kindness that doesn’t need to be announced.
He’s the type of friend who can make silence comfortable. We could be sitting in the same room, doing completely different things — him sketching, me studying — and it would still feel like a good time.
Sure, there are moments where I wish he’d talk more, share more, or be a little less mysterious. But I’ve learned that this is just his way — and in its own way, it makes our friendship unique. We don’t need constant conversation to know it’s there.
In a world where everyone feels pressured to be “on” all the time, Adwaiy is refreshingly chill. He’s proof that friendship doesn’t always have to be loud to be real. Sometimes, it’s just about knowing someone’s out there, doing their thing, and still being part of your story — even if they don’t say it out loud.
So here’s to Adwaiy — quiet, a little unpredictable, deeply creative, and still the kind of friend you remember.
— Your friend,
Aaron Dias
That is so deep. When you write you really put your heart and soul into it especially when it's about your friend.
